How the marketplace supports your safety
Neighbor approval checks
The standard Neighbor approval process includes identity verification, background screening, eligibility review, and payout setup. A limited, administrator-approved Trusted Neighbor exception is available for up to five personally known Neighbors; it is not equivalent to completed background screening. Do not assume all approved Neighbors have the same screening status. Contact support if you need clarification before booking.
Address privacy
Exact pickup and delivery addresses are hidden from unassigned Neighbors and shared when needed to carry out an accepted errand.
Payment control
Review your total and authorize payment before dispatch. Payment is finalized after completion approval or the applicable review period.
Dispute review
Task history, messages, and completion evidence support a documented dispute process. Report a problem so it can be reviewed.
Accounts may be restricted when fraud, safety concerns, or serious policy violations are reported.
Prohibited launch errands
Do not post or accept childcare, elder or dependent-person supervision, medical care, passenger transportation, weapons, controlled substances, hazardous materials, high-value cash or jewelry transport, licensed construction, or any unlawful or unusually dangerous task.
If something happens
- Stop the errand and move to safety.
- Call 911 for immediate danger, injury, fire, theft in progress, or a vehicle collision.
- Take photos, retain receipts, and preserve messages without confronting anyone.
- Report the incident through the task page as soon as practical and email support@errandsneighbor.com.
Coverage and limitations
ErrandsNeighbor does not currently advertise a platform guarantee or insurance policy. The safeguards above do not guarantee safety or reimbursement. Any future protection benefit will be announced only after its coverage, limits, exclusions, and claims process are finalized in writing.
